After more than 30 years in practice, there are few business problems that Gary has not seen (or solved). Gary has acted in all manner of business disputes, with particular expertise in litigation between shareholders or partners and employment issues involving C-suite executives. He also knows his way around insurance policies: Gary is one of Canada’s premier authorities on directors’ and officers’ insurance, errors and omissions of professionals, and fidelity and other specialty matters. Frequently retained by the world’s largest insurers, he acts on all manner of complex litigation, and brings his experience and sharp legal mind to bear in every case. Gary is loyal, and there is no fault in that. He acts for, and considers friends, people he first acted for decades ago. Perhaps this camaraderie is why Gary is known for being practical and strategic: his clients trust that he will tell them what he thinks, not just what they want to hear. We marvel at the speed with which Gary answers client communications, whether he is sitting by the ocean at his home in P.E.I. or enjoying a glass of Bordeaux after a day skiing in Collingwood.
