Linda Pieterson

For over 20 years, Linda has happily collected business clients who have learned that they do not just have to tolerate, but can actually like, their lawyer. Deals are what she does: wickedly complex international ones and those that just help fantastic clients navigate to where they need to be. We can confirm that she has negotiated more deals than there are raccoons in Toronto (i.e., far too many to count). She has done deals in industries including sports, radio, grocery, real estate, banking, project finance, real estate development, medical and restaurant, everywhere from Lichtenstein to the local pub. Although we think of Linda as a pretty hip 50ish year old, we concede that this does not reconcile easily with her awesome contract drafting skills: devils in the details fear her. She can regale you with tales of why boilerplate really matters (not to mention the horrors of failing to have a shareholders’ agreement). Although she has publicly declared that her favourite movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life”, we know that it is really “Dodgeball”. She has a closing checklist for April Fool’s Day and is the fiercely proud co-creator of three of the best humans on the planet.
