Murray J. Perelman

COUNSEL

As an experienced corporate lawyer, Murray’s lengthy and illustrious resume begs the question: What can’t he do? We’re still wondering. Murray has over 40 years of broad-based experience in a variety of corporate and business matters. He has expertise in corporate financing, international transactions, corporate governance issues, corporate reorganizations, and assisting new business start-ups. He also has a special affinity for working with owner-operated and entrepreneurial businesses, and with assisting U.S.-based businesses on expansions into Canada. Murray also shares our belief in community involvement, having served on numerous non-profit boards and committees, including, currently, acting as Chair of North York General Hospital’s Board of Governors. He has also made innumerable contributions to the legal community, from speaking and writing on corporate topics to mentoring and training countless younger (and occasionally older) lawyers. Not content to rest on his professional laurels, however, Murray also persistently battles the unforgiving golf green, roots for the similarly unforgiving Toronto Maple Leafs, and spends as much time as possible with his children and grandchildren. With his extraordinary experience and admirable humility on the golf course, we know Murray offers his clients reflective, seasoned advice. If only someone could help him with his chip shot.
