Pavle Masic

Counsel

A lawyer of rare ability and even rarer humility, Pavle lends his special expertise to commercial litigation with a particular focus on the delicate business of bankruptcy and insolvency. With a doggedness that intimidates even us, he has mastered the ability to work on trains, go without sleep for days, and unravel complex multijurisdictional problems the way savants solve Rubik’s Cubes. Some days, you might find him doing battle in a dispute between a trustee and receiver. Other days, he might be untangling the intricacies of investor fraud cases. Most of the time, he can be found helping struggling companies as they deal with the barbarians at the gate. Behind the scenes, Pavle moonlights as a super dad who dances with his daughter every night, a board game fiend who thrives on competition, and a film fanatic who painstakingly catalogues every flick he sees. Perhaps his passionate commitment to everything he does can best be summed up with a quote from his favourite movie, Dr. Strangelove: “I want you to remember one thing, the folks back home is a countin’ on ya, and by golly we ain’t about to let ’em down.”
